Signal Problems

Well it’s been wetter than an otters pocket today and a bit of a nightmare to navigate around town with so many impassable streets due to flooding, hopefully everybody is getting dried out now.

We’ve been out and about as usual, a little bit of rain doesn’t put us off, we’ve been and replace two faulty satellite dishes in Glendoick and Old Scone, and repairs to an aerial in Perth and a satellite dish in Luncarty.

Are you are having an issue with your tv signal? With all the rain we have been having lately, Aerials can be dislodged and deteriorate over time, the wiring can become porous which causes water to get down into the tv equipment all affecting the quality of the TV signal.

Are you looking to get your new TV on the wall we are your local specialist TV installation company we install all makes and models of television/sound bars and all the associated cabling neatly hidden out of sight.

For this job in Perth I had to be a little creative to facilitate wiring this TV, this TV uses Apple TV so no sky boxes or any other TV equipment however I also had to facilitate a power supply to the new electric fire and two individual power supplies for the Apple HomePods as standard with all the wires hidden so this one was a little tricky, I mounted the tv, fire place and carried out all the wiring without any decor damage, should you require anything similar please get in touch.

Something new for us in this job, We have been contacted quite a few times about the possibility of installing the new star link satellite broadband, the main consideration for this type of satellite installation is that there should be suitable coverage from where the dish is located, things to think about are the height of the installation and what possible obstacles are around the property i.e. trees and other buildings this kit also comes with its own preterminated cable which poses a few challenges from a wiring perspective as usual there’s not much that can deter Perth Electrical from getting the job done so if you’re looking to get a similar installation completed give us a call we’ll get you connected.

Something a little different for me today, I have been asked by perth council to provide a satellite signal for the big screen over the jubilee weekend it’s located next to the museum for Friday and Saturday then it’s getting moved to the North inch for Sunday.

I was initially contacted by the council to see if the sites suggested were suitable to obtain a signal, then attend site and make it all work.

One new 65inch Samsung TV mounted yesterday in Dunfermline, the tv was mounted and wired back to the cupboard adjacent with two 4K HDMI leads, long power cable and an aerial connection in case the Sky Q box goes down. It’s that time of year again, it’s all go and fully booked before Christmas, this is a wee Saturday job at Bertha park, if you are out shopping in January or if your lucky enough for Santa to bring you a new tv at Christmas give us a call week commencing Monday the 6th of January and get your job booked in after the Christmas break.

This job in Birnam was carried out over two days, we supplied and installed a satellite dish to five points through the property two of which were twin feeds for recording boxes and three single feeds for non recording boxes, we also wired computer network cable from the router to the loft then back down alongside the satellite cables to the five tv points, due to the physical size of the property and the thick walls the Wi-Fi was terrible but now they can download till there hearts content, for any similar jobs give us a ring.
